S.O. 466(E) – In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) read with clause (b) of the explanation to section 35AC of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961) the Central Government on the recommendations of the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare, hereby approves the institutions mentioned in column (2) of the Table below and specifies the eligible projects or schemes and the estimated cost thereof mentioned in column (3) of the said table and also specifies in the column (4) of the Table, the maximum amount of such cost which may also be allowed as deduction under the said section 35AC, namely –

Dear Sir / Madam,

 

SAMPARC, established in year 1990, a secular, a non-profit making Registered Society and Trust working in Maharashtra, Gujarat and W.Bengal for the development, care and protection of needy, children, women and for poor community people.

 

 

SAMPARC is developing its projects in the following area –

 

i)                    At village Malavli, rly. Stn Malavli, near Lonavla, a hospital for the service of 45 villages of Maval taluka. The hospital aims to provide 40 beds for male and female patients, operation theatre to perform basic surgery, labor room, intensive care unit for critical patients, pathology laboratory, radiology unit include X-Ray, Sonography, OPD section to extend services by specialists, and ambulance. To support the hospital activities, generators, bore-wells, and overhead water tanks, solar water systems, furniture, fixtures and overall construction of hospital and staff quarters to be taken up by SAMPARC organization.

ii)                   Also under this income tax provision administrative support for a period of 3 years including for running of the hospital.

iii)                 Sponsorship assistance for the care of orphan children, aims to raise sponsorship assistance for 1 child for its overall care, and development of the children living in SAMPARC center @Rs. 12000/- per year. 

iv)                 To raise corpus funds to make the organization self-sustained to run children and community development activities. The funds will help the organization to achieve self-sustainability during the crisis period. Names of donors for corpus funds would be mentioned in every annual report of the organization. Interest earned on the corpus funds would be utilized for running the activities of the organization.

v)                  Education sponsorship to poor and needy children @ Rs. 6000/- per year per child would be raised to support such needy children of the nearby SAMPARC project areas.

vi)                 To construct 2 more floors of the building in Kolkata Shishu Kendra of SAMPARC orphanage center for 50 orphan children for their residential care and protection.

vii)               To construct 4 classrooms for poor students of 25 villages of Bhambarde school.
